  • I want to like this toy store, I really do. I mean, who wouldn't want to 5-star a small, independent toy store in one's own neighbourhood? But I just can't. Main reasons? 1) Lack of service. Every we come in to browse, I sense an attitude from behind the counter. No smiles, no "Can I help you with anything?". They just . . . don't really seem to care. Even when it's not busy. Is it just us? Not sure. In any case, it's off-putting. 2) The prices. I've seen things here that are as much as 20% more than at Mastermind's regular prices. 3) Mediocre/small selection. Any item or series we want to look for, we can find in greater variety at Mastermind. In short, if you're looking for a good Canadian (i.e. not the Toys 'R Us chains) toy store, this ain't it.
