While most people believe this is important quality in a wedding - my wife and I didn't. However, when the marriage ruling for same-sex marriage came in last October (just a few months before our wedding) we actually took our chances and won a free cake from Aunt Abby's Confections in Scottsdale. We met with the owners, Abby and Maggie the very next day and they were so incredibly sweet! We walked in not knowing what type of cake we wanted but after chatting about our summer theme we chose a lemon cake, with raspberry filling and an Italian cream cheese frosting - DELICIOUS! They delivered a simple, chic cake design and added fresh flowers and our monogram to it. It was simply yet BEAUTIFUL! We were beyond happy to have won such a wonderful gift for our wedding day and will never forget it.
Aunt Abby's Confections actually specializes in Macrons and every time we met at the store they greeted us with some, which were delicious. We sat and chatted multiple times and after Abby opened up about her brave, personal life, we wanted to show our appreciation by giving them business. We just HAD to order some of those tasty macrons for our "Coffee & Dessert" table and our guests LOVED THEM. They even managed to match our wedding colors - yellow and gray! Purely amazing and such a supportive and sweet duo they are at Aunt Abby's Confections!
