All I ever hear is, "blue ribbon chicken, gotta check blue ribbon chicken". So we finally made the venture out to try some infamous blue ribbon chicken. Food is moderately priced, not cheap and not too expensive. One thing I can say is the service is on par and the establishment is super clean. The food on the other hand I was not too thrilled and did not live up to the hype. Great selection of bbq sauces and they serve alcohol. I mixed the bbq & chipotle honey together, the chipotle is a lighter sauce with a bit of smoke flavor to it. Order the wing supreme, lot of clumpy batter & Cancun, not cooked to the crisp I usually like. The breading on the chicken was a bit heavy. The Blue ribbon sandwich was pretty good. The fries are thin and salty. Corn and bacon smalls are usually my two favorite things but in this combination it was too salty for my liking. The mac & cheese you can never go wrong. After eating here, I felt that I had a huge sodium spike and left super thirsty. I can say I refilled my water cup at least 3x's before I left. Cluck cluck.
