| - This place is a neighborhood gem just northeast of Uptown's business district. Favorite dish is the "What It Is" pasta. Creamy, cheesy, and spicy, and topped with juicy blackened chicken breast. It always seems like they are down a server or two, so it can sometimes be hard to flag someone down, but the waitresses working have always been friendly and the kitchen is usually fast once the order is in. The decor looks like it hasn't been changed in 30 years, which fits well with its function as a neighborhood watering hole.
I usually walk here from Uptown after work, but parking is somewhat limited if you choose to drive. There is a small lot about half a block away, as well street parking.
Also, get the bread pudding for desert -- it comes out piping hot, moist, and is drenched in a delicious caramel sauce.
