  • I've been a regular at babystacks for years now. This is one of my favorite restaurants because they have my absolute favorite loco moco! My boyfriend and I come here so often that the servers feel like family and they give us hugs every time or ask us how we're doing. Which I think is very sweet. But I'm reviewing today deducting one star because of the very slow service I received today. My friends and I came here after class to just have a quick brunch. But we ended up having a 2 hour brunch because of the wait times for our seat and our food. I've been here too many times to know that this place is small (about 13 tables total) and there is usually a wait to be seated. Today we were sat down after 15 minutes of waiting (which isn't bad) and then right when we sat down the busser gave us our drinks. The downside was waiting for our food. I felt like we waited for our food for about 40 minutes, which didn't feel like the usual serving time that babystacks had. I would say it might be because the kitchen was backed up, but I have seen this place more packed and I have gotten my food way sooner. When we got our food we were finally ready to eat, but my pancakes are missing and my server told me it will be right out. But it literally has been about 30 more minutes, my friends have eaten all their food and my pancakes are nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, I'm just observing the other tables get all their food already. Finally I get it, but I didn't really have an appetite for it anymore... it would have been nice if I was accommodated some way, but I was still charged for the pancake that was pretty much irrelevant my entire dining experience today. P.s. Our usual servers weren't there. They're usually much more efficient.
