| - I scheduled an appointment, showed up 10 minutes early. There were 2 dogs waiting before us. A dog comes in after us and is seen before all of us! The dog looked to be in great health so it definitely was not an emergency. The other people there were quite annoyed and the staff kept stating "it will only be a few more minutes", but they told the others that at least 3 times. We ended up being see 30 minutes after our scheduled appointment. That is unacceptable. My poor cat was already on edge because of the car ride and being in a carrier, but having to wait a half hour to be seen is crazy.
During the exam, they of course pushed for a ton of "extras", which would have made my bill $500, and that would just be for tests (blood/urine/fecal), the checkup and xrays. I denied the xrays (no need for them as there was no pressing issues, just having a wellness check for a cat).
The appointment was on a Friday and to my surprise, they stated they would have the results the next day (a Saturday). They told me if I don't get a call, to call them around midday. I received a call, but she was only checking to see if I had questions. Naturally I asked about the results and she put me on hold, came back a few mins later and indicated they did not have them. Why tell me on Friday that they would be ready Sat if that might not be the case. Monday comes and goes, I work until 5p and I did not get to call them (even though they should be calling me with the results. I called Tuesday and after being on hold for 5+ mins, the lady stated she was not authorized to give me the results! WHAT??? Of course I am thinking it is bad news because she stated the vet would have to call me to give me the results. That was stressing. She again stated that if I don't receive a call, I would need to call them. It should not be my job to keep calling them. I paid them a lot of money for the visit, so I would think that a call would be their responsibilty . They finally call me the next day and all of the tests came back with great results, no issues but they still advised I do Xrays. I do feel they are mostly about the money.
Pros: They were very kind/gentle to my cat. The facility did seem clean/neat and they did give treats and toys to the dogs. No treats or toys for cats but my cat wouldn't have taken it anyway.
Cons- scheduling is a joke, the prices are fairly high, and they do push for you to spend more.
I will not be going back and I am certainly not spending $200+ for Xrays
