| - The "lux" in Lux Nail Bar is not joke. I'm a recent transplant from the East coast, and my first order of business was to find a new nail salon. I tried Lux for a variety of reason, the most important of which was that it's close to my apartment.
Leann was amazing. Great customer service. She was friendly, talkative and has amazing hands. She up sold me on my pedicure to the deluxe, but boy am I glad she did. After the basic nail cleaning, she cleaned away the dead skin on my heels and bottom of my foot with - wait for it - a cheese grater. I know what you're thinking. I had the same thought, too. However, as someone with particularly sensitive feet, the cheese grater didn't make me burst out into the giggle fit that normally happens when I get a pedi. Next, after applying a scrub Leann squeezed a fresh orange over the crib and used the pulp and skin to really rub in the scrub. After I got a particularly aggressive leg message with some nice smelling lotion. This was followed up by a mask and a hot towel wrap. I wasn't sure I would be able to walk out of the building my legs and feet felt so relaxed. It's safe to say I'll be coming back for sure.
The only disappointing thing about my experience was that when you first walk in you see bottles of wine on display, but there's no wine to be enjoyed while you're getting your pedi. That would have the icing on the cake, for sure. Treat yo self to a deluxe pedi and you won't be sorry.
