I want to give this groomer a better review but I can't this time. I used them for my two Bichon's and my shih tzu many times in the past but moved out of the area. A few years later I adopted a new Bichon and decided to take her to Valerie's since I had been happy with them in the past.
The customer service was lacking this time.
More importantly, my sweet newly adopted Bichon came home with an open reach in her back and a rash all over her tummy. When i called the manager to ask about this I was told the groomer would call me back. Between both phone conversations, neither apologized or had any suggestions for how to treat her. The response was basically "we didn't see it".
Later my research and discussions with other groomers led me to realize it's probably because she has extra sensitive skin as a Bichon - a professional groomer should be aware of possible razor burn on this breed.
I would have expected this groomer to at least suggest it might be that, instead if "we don't know". After all, they are the professional groomers and should be much more familiar with this than I am.
I am disappointed.
