dunkin has taken over. just a few years ago, you couldn't find dunkin in AZ. then the bagged coffee started showing up in the grocery story, and before you knew it, you couldn't throw a sack of dead (insert favorite object/animal here) without hitting a dunkin donuts shop.
yet it never seems authentic unless i'm having one in boston. any location is as good as the other. the coffee is exactly the same...how do they know just how much cream and sugar to put in a coffee? although that little mustached man apparently doesn't get up at the crack of dawn to make donuts, they still have a plethora of donuts. my favorite always is the powdered jelly donut, but i'm trying to avoid diabetes so i had to quit eating them.
dunkin is extremely reliable and visible in boston (or new england). and i always find it so funny to hear some big, dirt covered construction worker order a non-fat, blended, iced, skinny mocha latte in that tough boston accent.
