I like this place for its food and ambience. It's a dirty place at times, with sticky floors drunk slurring breath and smokers hanging outside. It's a pub! And for a pub, I think it's great. I give it three stars because as many times as I have gone to Dixons it doesn't really stand out as a great fabulous experience. It's okay. It's acceptable. I'm glad it's there, but I wouldn't go out of my way to give it crazy accolades.
The food is good. There are a lot of beers on tap. You can order house wine no problem or even shots if you are so inclined. The service is good. The servers work hard. This place is always packed. Especially at night.
I had a better time I think one time on a Sunday afternoon. The game was on, the sun was shining and the food was okay.
