  • I have certain expectations of a Chinese restaurant, and Asian Legend scratches all those itches. Brusque yet prompt service, screaming-hot tea, and food that shows up fresh from the kitchen in an oh-how-did-I-order-this-much pile in the middle of the table. Catching up with some old friends, we all had to order our favorites and they were all executed well. Multiple dumplings, a number of veggie dishes, fried chicken, spicy tofu, fried rice and noodles; everything was hot and flavorful. I'm sure there are local family places that might execute one or the other dish better, but for the variety on offer here everything hit the right notes to make the dish what you expect. Chinese food is always a nostalgia trip for me, so I'd like to thank this spot for making that happen.
