Terrific prepared Greek foods and cafe!
I happened to be on my way to pick up some cronuts when I spotted a sign that said "Ilios", I've seen Ilios beans and olives in jars at several supermarkets in town so I figured this was their "home" restaurant. I was wrong, it's all that but also so much more.
If you're like me and love homemade Greek food but short of having a Greek BFF whose moms and grand moms stuff you with food every time you go over to their home, then you need to check out Ilios.
I picked up moussaka (think of it as Greek Shepherd's pie with aubergine), veal meatballs, stuffed peppers, some fresh baklava and my favorite, Galaktoboureko, a traditional Greek dessert made with a custard in a crispy phyllo pastry shell. All of it was fantastic. Their offerings change everyday.
Its also a cafe, so you can sit down with a buddy at one of the cute tables and have dessert and coffee or tea right on the premises instead.
I'll be coming back.
