  • I've rented from this location twice. My first time, it went okay, it took some time to actually have my truck brought out and ready, I stood around for a good deal of time twiddling my thumbs, but they let me know when it was ready and I utilized the hell out of it. Now, this second time, I'm probably never going to use this location again. The people who worked there were actually nice enough but I had a reservation here for about a month and they did not fulfill their end of the bargain and, really, brought a lot of frustration and stress to an already stressful day (moving sucks). I planned ahead of time a good deal when I moved this time, but it was still a nightmare because moving always, always is. I reserved a truck for rental in early September for an October 1st pickup. I checked in online the morning of and had my mom drop me off, who was in town to see my new place. So, they look through their records and inform me, hey, the guy who has the truck you were going to rent hasn't returned it, so... there's that. Sorry, bud. I asked if they had any smaller trucks which may work. Nope. They have 0 trucks available. It's insanity because I reserved a truck so long in advance I should have been given a time-frame when some other vehicle may become available but I wasn't, I was simply referred to the McClintock location about a mile away. I told them that I'd been dropped off and was without a vehicle and without a phone. I had wrongly assumed that this would only take a moment or two so now I was stranded. Nice enough, someone working there did give me a ride to the other location and dropped me off. However, when I got there, the dude working behind the desk of the other location told me that it was the end of/beginning of the month and that's their craziest time and since I didn't have a reservation with them initially, it didn't look good. My eyes must have gone black because they ended up putting me in a bigger truck for the same price. This Scottsdale Rd. location, they were very nice and I appreciate the ride, but really, they didn't seem to give two shits that I had placed a reservation and even checked in online. What exactly did I check into? A ghost truck? Some sort of phantom? They never offered to call another location for me to check availability so when they dropped me off, there was no way of telling how many prior reservations had been booked so it's totally possible they could have dropped me off and there could have been absolutely 0 truck that I was able to take off in. It was a hassle but some other location ended up coming through for me. In the future, I now know that reserving a truck does not mean I'll end up getting anything from these guys other than a head-ache. I'm probably just going to book in advance with the larger location on McClintock to avoid a hassle.
