| - OK, so check this out. I know I have been long dormant with the Yelp reviews (bad girl, BAD GIRL!), so to make it up to ya'll, I am now embarking on a casino-by-casino tour of my new hometown of LV, NV, and will include reviews of each as I tour them. Now, these will not include room stays, but just schlepping around the premises - eating, drinking, and checking out anything that moves or doesn't move. Got it? OK, let's proceed...
Review #42:
just like The Wynn (and connected to it by a row of high-end stores that I can't even afford to window-shop at), the Encore is elegant, refined, & quite expensive; there are several very nice restaurants that will be glad to take a lot of your money (and have dress codes, by the way); one nice feature is how the modest but beautiful pool & gardens area are visible from the casino, rather than being hidden & separate like at most other places on The Strip; the outdoor entrance is cool & serene, and the hotel check-in and adjacent lobby bar bask in the color red; the casino area is relatively small, and focused on table games over slots; 3 stars for excitement here, but will give them 4 because it's alll just fab to look at; best craft beer bet = just like all high-end Strip properties, they are sadly behind on the craft beer revolution, but there are signs of effort here, especially at Society Cafe
