| - OK,
I heard so many good things about this place so I thought I would give it a try. I went there once brought the kids with me. They had the usual, chicken tenders and fries. They were pretty much the norm that I can find anyplace else. As long as the minions enjoy them, I am ok with it.
I had the linguini with clams, it was ok. Nothing to make my eyes roll in the back of my head. The bread was very good though, I can say that. I could tell it was fresh baked.
The service was ok, I don't remember her name but the waitress was Asian. She gave so so service, nothing more than she needed to.
I decided to take the children there yesterday after the last day of school. It was busy for lunch. The busser sat us pretty quickly and got us drinks. Then we waited, and waited, for about 10 minutes until someone came by. It seemed like they forgot about us or something. The waitress came by and was apologetic and seemed almost overwhelmed because she was so busy. The Iced tea I ordered tasted funny so I asked if I could get a soda instead. She was so busy, she forgot.
I got my soda after a reminder.
For lunch I ordered the two slices of pizza and a soda special and the kids ordered the normal, chicken tenders.
I heard nothing but good things about the pizza and was looking forward to it. When it came out, I was disappointed. First, its cooked in a pan the bottom of the crust was the texture of the pan. Second, it seems like their oven isn't hot enough because the crust wasn't that nice crispy almost burned brown that I love. Overall, the pizza was just meh. Nothing special and nothing deserving of such high praise.
On a positive note, I have had their chicken wings when someone got take out from there and they were pretty tasty
This place is usually very busy and serves typical bar food. It seems like it fits the need of the people in the neighborhood. They seem to have a big local following.
As far as pizza goes, I would go to Sunset Pizza which isn't far from there, they make very good pizza.
