  • It seems that the MGM Grand has gone downhill a bit in the past several years. Approaching the casino from the Strip, there's graffiti, broken fixtures, homeless people hanging out in front begging for change, and general grittiness that most of the casinos on the strip don't offer. But they do offer the best sports betting environment on the Strip. They have a huge area to watch any sport conceivable, with complimentary betting books, and a giant display showing the scores and odds on the various upcoming games. The betting area was a bit dirty, with most of the areas to sit being surrounded by empty drink glasses. The minimums were a lower than some of the Strip casinos, but I had a real hard time understanding the dealers' English. They knew how to deal, but didn't know how to explain the game, or speak clearly for that matter. It's cool that the main lobby has all their boxing memorabilia. It's cool to check out the old fight's gloves and outfits. There's some real boxing history at this place. If you're interested in sports betting, this is the place, but I'd stay away from the table games.
