Get ready to sweat! No matter what your fitness level, you're guaranteed a great workout. I came in for the free trial session to test the waters. Before the class started, they walk you through exactly what to expect during the class, how the machines work, and what the workouts will be. This was very reassuring since my biggest fear coming into the session was struggling to keep up with the seasoned vets.
The sessions are 60 minutes long and workouts vary depending on the day. This keeps the sessions interesting and your body doesn't get comfortable with one form of workout. You get hooked up to a heart rate monitor which allows you to track your heart rate, calories burned and "splat points" (aka minutes your heart rate is in the orange zone) throughout the session. Everyone's data is up on the tv screens which seems intimidating at first but I actually loved it. That was a huge motivating factor for me to see numbers attached to my progress and to see how I rank next to the other participants.
The biggest downfall is the price. They offer a variety of membership plans but they're all equally expensive. A few sessions can be very useful but once you get the hang of things, it's easy to replicate at your own gym.
