  • I had two experiences where two different friends decided to get marry in the spur of the moment. Without a failing, Vegas is always the destination for that quick hitch. I don't have any qualms in either way why such a rush to get marry. I definitely didn't contest when Vegas get brought up as the place to go for a venue that will serve the special memory for the rest of your life. For some reason I always see it as Junior Varsity version compared to a church wedding whenever Vegas get the nod as the place to go. My fear subsided quite a bit when I get noticed it was going to be at MGM Grand Casino. I figured I can grab a drink, put in some time at the slot machines, and catch a buffet brunch before hitting the chapel for that all important moment. One thing I have to say though, the time for the wedding never seemed to start on time. I was getting antsy waiting at the lobby of this so called chapel. There is no info on what's the hold-up. We don't know whether or not it's cold feet experience by either the groom or the bride...or just the wedding before our friend's went overtime. It was very nerve wrecking when the starting time was past and we are still outside of the lobby next to the hallway to other MGM's restaurants. Once we got in, our little qualms about shotgun marriage have really gone away. The wedding chapel is like a very clean Victorian style guest room with chandeliers hanging above in the ceiling. There was some piano siting on the other side of the main stage with rows of wooden chairs neatly stacked in a straight away looking at dead center. The room is much nicer than I originally was thinking a shotgun wedding at Vegas would looked like. It's very small though as it only can hold about 40 people at best with no real standing room. To be honest, it's fine if you were looking for a venue for a wedding. It's a whole better than having a Backyard Betty wedding with a inflatable pool and cheap grilled BBQ as your banquet. This is much classier than I originally was envisioning on how Vegas wedding was going to be. Everything was done in a classy and professional manner. I think the lovely couple will always cherish closed friends and family members joining them for this elegant affair. You can also used their wedding planning service or purchase their wedding packages to enhance the experience there. For me.......I think it'll be a long long long long long long long time before I approached this monumental occasion. If I ever come across it, I'll think about this place if I need a quickie marriage. I'll probably need few more drinks to take the edge off. Make sure you do have a few before entering the chapel because it can be nerve wrecking if you waited out too long.
