| - My boyfriend and I came here the other week and sat at the bar downstairs. Usually we sit at the bar upstairs on the roof because it has such a great view, but it was a little too warm for that so we figured we would give the inside bar a try.
It was around 4 in the afternoon and it was just us and two other guys sitting at the bar.
The bartender quickly greeted us and took our drink order.
My boyfriends drink took maybe a minute, and she dropped it off and walked away. My drink however, showed up almost fifteen minutes later, after she stood at the other end of the bar and had a conversation with a co worker. I let it go, because for all I knew it was an important drink related conversation.
A bit later when our drinks were looking pretty low she returned, but only long enough to ask my boyfriend if he would like another and then walk away while I was mid sentence trying to let her know that I'd like another drink as well.
She promptly brought his drink and walked away again, ignoring me as I again, tried to ask her for another drink for myself.
After ten more minutes of her ignoring me as she kept walking past, the gentleman at the bar beside me finally flagged her down and informed her that I'd been trying to get her attention for a while. With a look a look of total irritation, she turned to me and asked what I needed. Finally I was able to order my second drink...however it took over another ten minutes for her to bring it to me. If I had ordered something difficult then I could understand the delay, but it was just a vodka tonic.
Normally this would be the
point where we would leave and just go somewhere where the bartenders weren't so horribly rude, but we were famished and decided to just go ahead and order our food, and hope for the best...wish we hadn't.
While we were ordering, we actually caught her rolling her eyes at us.
Then when the food came out, she threw the plates down in front of us so hard, that part of my food fell off and landed on the bar, and then she just walked away without a word. That was all we could take.
So after another few minutes of trying to flag her down, she finally came back so we could ask her for boxes, our check, and a manager.
She returned a few minutes later with one box (instead of the two that we had asked for), our check, and to let us know that the manager was busy and couldn't talk at the moment...Seriously?!?!
We paid and left, and will never be back.
