This is without a doubt the worst Starwood property I've ever stayed at. I stayed for 5 nights and I was so let down by the terrible service and mediocre amenities, I considered switching to the Westin down the road mid-stay. Here is a preliminary list of problems in no particular order of importance.
- Key constantly not working during stay. I visited the desk 6 (!) times during my stay because my key didn't work. I am convinced that it was an issue with the key censors on the door but no one ever followed up and the entire front desk staff acted annoyed when I acted frustrated that I had to keep coming back.
- NO restaurant. There is a pool bar if you want a quesadilla/ greasy hamburger or two but the hours are limited to lunch really (which the staff is not forthcoming about when they offer the "room side service from the grille") at checkin. Also no adult bar open past dinner.
- Broken coffee machine upon arrival.
- No parking. Even though they give parking passes it I clear they don't ration them to the number of guests. If you come back to the hotel after 7:00 PM a spot near your condo village is nearly impossible. One night I was forced to park at my friends hotel and she drove me over. When addressed at the desk all they said was "our weekends get busy"...
- Impractical room layout. The bedroom has a small nightstand that pretends to pass as a dresser. In order to keep our clothes in an organized fashion, we were forced to use the living room to lay them out. Closet had about six hangers and was about 2 feet wide. Luggage rack was available but there is no conceivable space in the small bedroom to set it up.
In a nutshell this is a place is one of those vacation nightmares... with much nicer pictures and services promises online than what you get. Unlike the other reviews that said they paid $79 for this place, we visited at a peak time and the rate was $299 a night and this was no where near that level of hotel charge.
