Tried this place out today. The setup is very nice and new. Got a mani-pedi. Called the night before, booked an appointment for noon on a Saturday.
However the first thing you notice upon entering is that it's understaffed in comparison to typical nail salons I've been to. The woman who owns the place is very laidback while the younger man who does the work is agitated and clearly needs help.
It's a family-owned business (they live upstairs) which means I don't want to hinder their business but I will try to be unbiased and honest.
With only 1-2 people working there, they don't have the manpower to assist walk-ins but won't refuse service. So towards the end of my treatment, the pedicurist was rushing to finish as someone who walked in was waiting to get acrylics.
That being said, the mani-pedi was decently done and I am happy with my treatment. My feet feel very nice and soft, and the polish job is fine. I just wish it weren't so rushed; the mani and pedi were done at the same time, so while the manicurist was trying to paint my nails, the person doing my pedicure was scrubbing my feet, agitating my hands. It didn't turn out messy but I wished it were done separately. It felt as though the manicurist was trying to get it out of the way, rather than do it properly.
I would rate this place 3 considering the pros and cons, but the service itself gets 2 stars. It was 45$ for a regular mani-pedi with tip and took 1h30. I would not return.
