| - DON'T DO IT!!!!!
OH MY GOD I wish I'd read reviews on here before I used this company.
THE WORST.
These are clearly shysters running a business with NO INTEGRITY!!!!
I called AAA to have my car towed and this company showed up to tow my car. The driver, Lamont, was a very helpful, rather upfront kinda guy who told me "you've got power and you've got gas, it doesn't seem like an alternator or a battery, it's probably just a relay switch" that needed repair and that was something simple and not costly.
I agreed with that part, I should've trusted that and yet STILL INSISTED THEY TAKE IT TO PEP BOYS (whom I have a positive history with).
Sadly, when he told me his company could do handle that easily, and that they'd apply the ($100) cost of the required diagnostic from the total, I decided to just go with it.
MISTAKE.
Every call made between us was generated by me. The car went in on Monday, it was Tuesday afternoon before they told me that it was the ALTERNATOR and that the total would be $388. and even then they wouldn't be able to have it done til the next day. I called around and got estimates of other alternators and they were about the same price, so I agreed to let them finish. MISTAKE.
The next day I heard nothing and about 3:00pm I finally called to check on it, and they had to "go find the mechanic" blah, blah, blah...
They then told me the car was done.
When I got there, I should've known something was not going to go well when I realized that ABC Towing are the people that impound your car.
Well, lo and behold, when they brought my bill, the total was $494. and there was no deducted $100.
I spoke with a young man Joel, who was of little help, and fortunately (or unfortunately as it were) another guy named Idam (ee-dahm) came over to "help".
He listened to my story and dealt with me being frustrated and after "checking out my story" (as if I were lying about it, he found out that everything I'd said was true (the fact that I'd remembered EVERY SINGLE PERSON I'd spoken to allowed for him to get to the root of the matter on their end easily) and he deducted $90. from the bill.
At this point I just wanted my car back, so I didn't kvetch about it, just paid for it and asked for my car back.
They brought my car around and left it running as I got into it and began my trip home, about 2 miles away.
I'd forgotten to bring my garage door opener so I turned the car off, went inside and grabbed my clicker, then went to restart my car.
IT WOULDN"T START. In fact, it did EXACTLY what it was doing when I asked them to tow it in the first place!!!!!
I called Idam back, and told him what the deal was, and he expressed NO remorse, merely defensiveness and all he could suggest was that he send a tow truck over and they'd check it out, then he put me on hold while he had some driver get my address, etc.
I hung up while waiting, because at that point I felt helpless and pissed. NO WAY was I giving them my car again.
SO here I am, out of $400 and my car STILL DOESN'T WORK.
If I can do ANYTHING to sway ANYONE from doing business with them, I WILL CHAMPION THAT CAUSE.
These people suck, and they do shitty business.
Can I please have a negative star rating ability????
