  • Not all retro-refurbs turn out as nicely as the Graduate has. It has the fun, funky 60s motel vibe, with all the luxuries of a modern hotel: spacious rooms, updated bathrooms with good water pressure, boutique toiletries, private balconies facing campus or the garden, AND a hotel bar, restaurant, cafe and pool on site. This is a one-stop shop vacation spot! Even if you're here for work, it's easy to squeeze in a drink or some pool time with all the convenient amenities on-site. If you're a fan of the "art deco in the desert" vibe, the Graduate nails it. Make sure you visit the rooftop bar, open in Spring through Summer. And the pool/hot tub area is open 24 hours... a pretty rare hotel policy! Business folks: we rented their conference room for a day of meetings and it was lovely. Huge windows, stylish chandeliers, good A/V and amazing cookies! A definite step up from the lifeless hotel conference rooms I'm used to. It's across the street from the ASU campus, and short walk to all the restaurants & bars. I didn't think Tempe could be terribly exciting, but all the fun we needed was located at the hotel! Definitely recommend for the price.
