As a fairly recent transplant to Pittsburgh, people kept saying that I should go to the Heinz History Center. So, a few weekends ago I made the trip.
Now, to be honest with you, I really enjoy museums. I tend to walk through them and browse (I do not read every single sign-board). That being the case, I was amazed that it took me 4-hours to go through this place. Its really that big! It would be easy to spend an entire day.
Tons of really neat exhibits and artifacts. Specifically, I enjoyed seeing the actual turf from Three Rivers Stadium, the baseball stuff, and the technology section.
Parking is right across the street (cost is $5 I believe).
Really great place. Those who are new to Pittsburgh certainly need to make a visit.
