| - Cartier is the worst serviced jeweler with the most mundane jewelry designs.
Well, you would think so if this were your only experience with the brand. This is Toronto's flagship location? I have shopped at Cartier across the globe, and despite the sign, this store holds no relevance or similarities to any of the ones I've visited. The staff and inventory on hand here are on the same level as any Mappins in any given mall. MALL I said! If there were ever a M word, Mall would be it.
Four, five salespersons at the most on any given day. I'm not surprised, I don't plan on returning here either. Of the five, I just had to get the guy with the shotgun foundation applied to his face. He didn't speak clearly, seldom made eye contact while talking, and had zero product knowledge. He was able to show me to none of the items I was looking for from the Panthère collection. Partly because they didn't carry it, partly because he didn't know whether they carried it. Oh the time wasted!
I resorted to staring at his mismatched foundation and running guyliner. Single Windsor. Ugh, makes me sick. The man(questionable) made no effort to showing me the merchandise available at the rest of the store. He simply walked away when he couldn't find what I wanted. I had to chase the idiot down so that I could receive further assistance as every other salesperson was busy. I never had anyone do that to me before. What is this, the Apple store?
The collection of diamonds rings, leather goods and bespoke products is utterly dreadful. I can't believe this is actually a Cartier, because the disparity between this location every other location I've shopped at is black and white. Why is there a security guard constantly? This place is almost always empty. Even if someone did come here with the intent to steal, any discriminating thief will very quickly realize nothing is really worth taking. The lack of inspiration pieces that defines Cartier as a brand is pretty much the name of the game here. I would not risk going to jail for anything sold here--and I'd do almost anything for fine jewelry, including traveling to Burma.
The store is unbearably small and un-intimate for a Cartier.
The service sucks. I came here a second time in hopes of things may change.
Like the hollow minded Obama supporters during the Change campaign, I was left severely disappointed. Very simply, anything that catches your eye on Cartier's website, you will not find here. Unless you have very bad taste and know nothing about jewelry. How this location has betrayed the French luxury brand in their pursuit for affluence. I will never drop another dime ten feet from this wretched store.
