A vegan bistro? Yes, please.
Vegetarian Haven's menu is inventive and goes all over the world map. And the portions are pretty generous. For example, the special the other day was a gigantic plate piled high with veggies and what looked like a vegan drum stick, plus soup. Point is: you won't leave hungry.
I opted for a smaller dinner than the special and was still satisfied. I had the soup of the day - a fragrant batch of kombucha squash stew - and seared dumplings. I ended with a hot drink. The sweet waitress stopped me from ordering the Bambu (she said it sort of tasted like processed coffee) and steered me in the direction of Teccino with steamed almond milk instead.
Of my order, the soup and the drink were fantastically flavorful. The dumplings could have had a bit more seasoning, but they were hot and filling, which still satisfied most of my craving.
Definitely worth going to if you're nearby.
