| - Had a good stay here. They provided a shuttle to Mandalay Bay which was a plus and to the airport when our stay was complete. We got a breakfast package that provided a gourmet breakfast every morning along with a sizable fruit bowl and drink of choice. Not the typical hotel breakfast provided by most franchises. That was a super plus, especially when with children. They even had a choice of acai bowls. Helloooo, we were there for a Jiujitsu tournament. Jiujitsu people love their acai bowls! LOL. The pool and pool area was really nice too in comparison to their competitors. Bedroom was comfortable and had a balcony facing the pool. Bathroom was a good size, clean and had an air filter. If you've ever stayed at a hotel without a bathroom air filter, then you know the struggle. LOL
Reasons why I didn't give full 5 stars:
- Upon checking in, they over charged us by $100. No big deal, we figured we'd square it out before leaving. Typically hotels charge you at check out not at check in, but whatever. They then refunded us the entire stay the next day without us even saying anything. Um.. ok. We figured that maybe they had discovered their error. Cool. At check out, we signed off on the original price we expected to pay. However, it took days for them to take it.
- A friend and their family were also staying at this hotel as recommended by me. They chose the same package deal I did but for some strange reason, their breakfast vouchers were not honored. They eventually squared things out by settling for a 'military buffet' which was reserved for military personnel. It was a bit awkward having our extravagant breakfast while our company had what was assigned to military personnel which they were not. Made no sense why the hotel couldn't just honor the proof that was provided. Very very strange. But in hindsight, the gentleman that seemed to manage the dining area checked about 3 times to make sure that MY family was actually entitled to have our breakfast. LOL. He was very protective over that breakfast but also very helpful once he gave us the green light. LOL.
