  • I've been going to the same nail salon for over a year but decided to give Shimmer Nails a chance because they had such high yelp ratings. Lesson learned. I came here on Dec 8th and less than four days later my nails look like this (see picture). The gel top coat has completely turned brown/black. FOUR DAYS LATER. Unfortunately their customer service isn't much better. I made an appointment over the phone and when I arrived, I had to wait over half an hour because apparently the guy who took my call messed something up. There was only a couple other people in the whole salon. The girl doing my nails was rushing since she had to stay later than normal because of the scheduling mix up. At check out the guy gave me a whopping 10% off for the mix up, which amounted to about $2. I will definitely not be returning to this salon or referring it to any of my friends in the future.
