Had the matcha soft-serve with mochi balls and red bean for about $7.80 total. The sundae looked really good. I even had one passer-by on the street ask me where I got it. Although small, the place seemed like a nice place to hangout. Not a big fan of green tea ice cream, but thought this place might change my mind because the quality looked much better than the ones I would usually get at all-you can eat sushi places. The matcha ice cream was the best I've had, but I realized I'm just not down with green tea ice cream. Will probably try the matcha cappucino type thing they have on the menu next time and update the score accordingly.
Overall, the place seems decent but a bit overrated. If you're into matcha, you would probably enjoy this place. I wish they had a red-bean soft-serve sundae with matcha balls (i.e the reverse of what I ordered), but who knows, maybe someone else will pick up on that ...
Update: Tried the Shiratama Parfait with half Vanilla and this was much better. The vanilla and red bean layer help to tame the green tea sharpness to my liking. Still expensive at about $8.00 taxes in, but still a great unique treat every once in a while. These are very well crafted sundaes. Upgrading to 4 stars.
