| - As a Case student, one of the benefits is being able to go to all the museums around campus for free, and I like to take full advantage of that.
Of all the museums, I have to say the Botanical Gardens are my favorite. Of course, I may change my mind in the dead of winter when all the plants are dead, but during the few weeks at the end of Summer and in late spring that I am here to enjoy them, it is absolutely beautiful.
I like to start by going to through the Greenhouse area. The first is the desert area, and honestly my favorites in there have to be all the cute animals. The next area is the rainforest, which is filled with butterflies and cute little birds. There is this one particularly elusive blue butterfly that never stays still, but is absolutely gorgeous. The first time I visited I may have spent a good half hour trying to chase that thing down with no luck. I have to say though, when you look at a butterfly close up, it is a little creepy.
Once you exit the greenhouse, next is the outdoor gardens. It is pretty big, and you could definitely spend a long time walking through. I love all the different themes, and there are lots of peaceful spots to sit and enjoy. There are also lots of beautiful spots that could make a good background for some cute photos!
Even after going to botanical gardens all over the world, this one here still has a very special place in my heart. If you haven't already, definitely come out to visit (not in the Winter of course!).
