When the elite event happened here I was home for the holidays so I missed my chance to try this place. I was walking around with my partner and saw their advertisement on the Cosmo and it reminded me to try this place.
Very easy to find in the hotel. Located near eggslut. It isn't a restaurant it's more of a grab and go place.
My partner and I were staring from a distance at the menu and I was greeted by a very friendly but loud Ingrid. When I said loud that's not a bad thing. She got my attention and got me into Milk bar.
To start I want to say what a pleasure Ingrid was. She had a strong personality and a beautiful smile. She guided me through the menu and made great suggestions and recommendations. She even let me try a truffle or two. That was rad!
I ended up getting a box of 12 cookies and a "crack pie" because I heard you had to get it. The compost cookie is THE BEST COOKIE THERE. It has a mix of like all their cookie flavors with a hint of coffee it was great. I wasn't crazy about the cornflake choc chip marshmallow cookie. However the crack pie was a little crackish. Tasted like pecan pie without pecans. A little too much powdered sugar on mine but not the worst thing to complain about. The only thing was the crack pie is small. You can't tell the size because it's in a deceptively sized box. So don't be mislead. My partner and I split it and I maybe got 2-3 bites. Again very good just not a good price point for how small.
I heard things about the soft serve that it wasn't amazing so I stayed away from it because I trust my fellow elitist reviews.
Biggest negative about this place is the price point. I spent about $40 on 12 cookies and one small crack pie. Honestly if I didn't have Ingrid there I prob would have put back some cookies after seeing the total but I let it go. $40 for all that is excessive. Just because you are on the strip doesn't mean the prices have to match. If your prices are lower I guarantee you would have more lines at this place and higher star rating, but hey that's what I notice after living here for years.
Would I go back? That's debatable. If I saw Ingrid working would I Pop by and grab a cookie, probably. Honestly though in vegas your store should be getting business for its food not its awesome staff, not that having an awesome staff is bad thing but your food should always out shine everything if you stand behind it.
Maybe a little more seating could be worked out. I know it's grab and go but seating was limited. I took mine to go, luckily I'm a local!
Thank you milk bar for having us!
