Last Saturday we went hiking at the Forks of Credit park and met my school friend who lives nearby. He recommended to finish up the hike with a visit to Spirit Tree Cidery. He told us that this place has amazing pizza, well... after my boys heard word "pizza" I had no choice but agree :)
We really liked the place, the outdoor patio has an amazing setting with a view of apple orchard. Unfortunately, the pizza is only served there after 4pm, so we had to order sandwiches and salads. These were quite good but nothing special. The ciders were amazing though! My husband and I shared a long flight of ciders (3 ciders of different kinds) and the kids got non-alcoholic apple and pear ciders. We liked dry hopped cider best and bought 1 liter to bring home (you buy a glass bottle there and then they fill it with cider at the bar). That's where they lost one star, when we brought it home and tried it in the evening the taste was nowhere near the cider we had earlier that day, it tasted fizzy and was over fermented. Anyway, this place is certainly worth a visit, make sure to try different ciders! We will certainly be back when in the area, hopefully after 4pm, so that we can try their pizza :)
