I like the open air seating at the restaurant. The food was okay (above average), but the atmosphere made up for it. The calamari was GRRREAT! But I cannot say the same for the pasta. Our waiter serenaded us during our dinner (as I was with my boyfriend). Afterwards, we went on a cute gondola ride around the lake. It was dark, not like the ones in Venice, but still pretty cute. The pools are extremely nice. They are like the ones in Vegas (i.e. The Mirage). They even show movies at night near the pool. The waterfalls near the hot tubs add extra beauty to this place. The pool area is especially nice at night. If you go during the day, try to go early to grab a cabana.
The bar and lounge area is also extremely nice. That part of the hotel is also open air and has a feel that many of the resorts in Maui have. The couches in the lounge area are so comfy and the ambiance is very relaxing and romantic. They played jazz the two nights that I was there.
Everything was nice and well-maintained. My boyfriend and I went during Memorial Day weekend. There were a lot of people there, but it did not feel crowded. This place definitely makes you feel relaxed and luxurious.
