| - This place is amazing. The staff is so patient, understanding, and loving. Most of the staff is in recovery as well, so they totally get it. You'll have a packed schedule full of recovery workshops, groups with your counselor and their other patients, and another mixed group. Three meals a day; always on time, speakers come, meetings on campus, and the staff will even drive you to outside meetings. You'll also get a weekly one on one with your counselor and your chaplain usually as well. The chaplains are great, the counselors level with you person-to-person. They aren't going to sugarcoat anything, be honest nobody will judge you. Another great thing-- you're allowed to smoke on campus! They had talks of changing that; however, when I was there we were allowed to have cigarettes. One thing at a time, lol! I was a guest here more than once, whatever it takes to get sober is what's important! Never stop trying; you'll always be welcomed back if you need to go back. I would give this facility 1000 stars if I could, it's always a home away from home for me. I highly recommend it. There's no "perfect" facility just like there are no "perfect" people. 90 percent of the people in there are recovering whether they're patients or not, so yes there are flaws/mistakes/annoyances-- you're in rehab; not Stepford. Get over it! What I loved about this rehab was that it was realistic. It wasn't a resort style with beaches and rainbows, it was real life real people; the everyday Joe...! It wasn't fancy and ritzy, it's relatable, that's what I loved. The neighborhood sounds a bit sketchy, but once you get there you'll know you've come to the right place. I love you CVH! Highly recommended for recovering alcoholics and addicts.
