It doesn't take much to make a health food/grocery store a place you want to visit. You basically just have to have the desire to buy certain kinds of products because of your lifestyle or your beliefs. Thing is, that has always made stores like Nuthouse seem a dime a dozen to me. The thought seems to be that the customer base is built-in, so why make it special.
Contrary to the usual experience at shopping at a health food/grocery store, I find the personnel at Nuthouse very kind and engaged, and always eager to answer questions. The place is generally warm, the product range is pretty vast and their prices are reasonable. Oftentimes "organic" is code for "we've jacked the price up" but not here. It's probably one of my favourite places in the area to buy, well, anything.
