| - I usually go to the Pretty Nails in the AJ Fine Foods plaza but the past few times I've come home with bubbles under the polish and generally sloppy pedicures. So I finally noticed a nail salon near the Safeway I rarely shop at, and decided I'd give it a try. Glad I did. They have nice new pedi chairs and the salon is clean, with lots of big flat screens. I would say the they could get bumped up to four stars if 1. they had more magazines for customers to read, 2. more nail colors to choose from, and 3. did more thorough lotioning.
They did a good job with the nail shape, cleaning and the polish, but I'm used to having a pretty long and thorough leg massage during the lotion part. This felt like an afterthought. When I got home, I noticed the skin on my heels were already peeling and cracked, so definitely not my imagination that they could have used more lotioning.
I never get manis or gel nails, just pedis, so I cant account for the other services. It was $20 for a pedi, same as at the other Pretty Nails and around the same as other salons within 2-3 miles of the area.
