| - Buying a car has always been a source of anxiety and expected frustration for me. It is something that I mentally really have to prepare myself for, like leaving the wire when I was overseas. However, much to my surprise, at Pinnacle Nissan I did not get the stereotypical car dealership experience that is something like Robert Deniro trying sell you a car in "Analyze this" followed by Joe Pesci in "Casino" or "Goodfellas".
I really liked that Anthony, my salesman, LISTENED to what it was that I wanted, and not what he or the dealership needed to sell or move off the lot. I especially liked the no BS approach to my needs. There really was no negotiation, on price. They came out, showed me the invoice, my trade value, and everything that was being considered in the total price which was not that far off what I was looking for. Something that I think every dealer should do.
I didn't get handed off to a more aggressive salesman or a "closer" type of salesman when I had some questions or concerns. unlike my previous experience with an un-named dealer (*cough* Chapman) The Salesman knew his product, based on what I told him, got me what I wanted and handled everything to include the dumb questions I had. The General Manager was/is a no BS man and I admire that in an industry that does not have the best reputation.
He wanted to sell me what I wanted to buy, and like I said previously, not what the dealership needed to sell to make a quota. They demonstrated that they were very in tune with my needs as their customer rather than their needs as dealer.
Their genuine attitude and nature did not go unnoticed, and will not go unrecognized. I hate pushy salesmen, I can not express the magnitude of contempt for a salesperson who treats you like the least sophisticated consumer or like you are plain stupid and without their help or their deal you would be getting hosed by some nefarious dealer who has watched "wolf of Wall street" or "Boiler Room" one too many times.
As a combat veteran, what goes on in my head when pushy sales tactics are implemented on me and some aggressive salesman / "closer" attempt to corner me into signing a deal or what not, are not suitable thoughts for a review in which I really want to commend the staff and management of Pinnacle Nissan.
Pinnacle Nissan, to me, is a very well managed and conscientious dealership. That coming from me says a lot, considering what Pinnacle Nissan was like when I first stepped on the lot 7 years ago looking for a vehicle when I wanted to burn the place to the ground due to a douchey salesman trying to push me and a pregnant wife into a Pathfinder we did not want. The place has really turned around and a lot of dealerships in the valley could learn a thing or two about customer service by the folks and management at Pinnacle. It is a well run ship and I was more than satisfied with my experience.
I review many places and such across the country, and am very stingy with a 5 star rating. But when I do give a five star rating, I go to great length to show my justification of that 5 star. Some may disagree with my review, or others may have had a different experience, but they earned my 5 star. I would recommend Pinnacle Nissan and stand behind my review and experience.
