| - This buffet did not disappoint. Modern dining environment, attentive staff, great presentation. Loved the personal-sized servings in adorable little silver pots with lids (seriously, serving food like this could help eliminate obesity in America....).
Came here for weekend brunch in April (yes, yes, major procrastination on the review) when the prices were around $23 (?). Weekend dinner at the time was only $29, so this seemed a bit steep... but still worth it. The weekday brunch seemed to be the best deal (around $17 or $19 at the time?).
The Foodnalysis:
Highlights included....
.: Breakfast station :.
- Poached eggs with pulled pork shoulder - WOW!
- Poached eggs with Canadian bacon
- Bacon, eggs
- Omelet station
- Pancake station (buttermilk, blueberry, RED VELVET with cream cheese syrup....)
- French toast
- Bagels, toast, rolls, etc (I was baffled by people wasting precious stomach space on bagels + cream cheese)
- Cereal (... again, baffled)
.: Asian station :.
- Kalbi / Korean short ribs
- Miso soup
- Sushi
- Other stuff Asian people don't get at buffets... like fake pad thai
.: Prime rib station (usually worthy of its own category) :.
- Prime rib (a bit dry, not as good as Wynn)
.: HUGE dessert section :.
- Chocolate covered marshmallows on a stick
- Chocolate covered strawberries
- Excellent Gelato station with great flavors like mint chip, mango, salted peanut, almond, coconut
- Lemon tarts
- Fruit tarts
- Chocolate
Coffee was just average. I did like the tea, however, as they serve Mighty Leaf! Much better than the Bigelow offered at the Wynn buffett.
The Bottom Line:
A great buffet option. Better desserts than the Wynn, but sub-par prime rib. Head here for weekday brunch if you're looking for a deal.
