| - I previously left a good review and have been back to this thrift store 3-5x since. Unfortunately, after some regular visits, I have run into some problems:
Most things don't have a price tag. So when you bring it to the front, the volunteers running the store that day might argue over the price in front of you.
They have 50% off days often, so then the new price is 50% off of what??
Most of the volunteers are very nice and try to be helpful.
But there are a couple that get very annoyed at questions, prices and if you want to look in the cases.
On these trips back, on 3 occasions, items I brought to the register and paid for, disappeared from my bag. There is no detailed receipt, so who knows if I paid for them and where the items went. When I went back 24 hours after shopping the first time and having items turn up missing from my purchases, the same volunteer who rang me up just said, "it was really busy yesterday, I don't know."
There was no offer to even look for the items or acknowledge that I might have paid for something I didn't receive.
I understand non-profits, I get that the money goes to the animals - but I am still a customer that doesn't want to be taken advantage of.
It seems that you have to really pay attention to prices (sometimes a volunteer in back might say something different than a volunteer up front), the items you are buying (make sure it got in your bag!), and be cautious while walking in the store. It gets very clogged in the walk ways with boxes that need to be unpacked often in the aisles. Then they get mad if you start looking through a box that is out in the open.
My stroller gets caught on everything and there is no room to navigate well. This location is for sure, NOT suitable for a wheel chair or walker, since I struggle with a stroller.
It is a shame because the mission is good, most of the volunteers are very good people and I do find treasures there. BUT after having the same issues multiple times, I am not sure that this store is for me anymore.
