  • This is a great museum one of the best so far that I have been to in Charlotte. The people that work their are friendly and educated about the exhibits. It's very interactive while encompassing the history of Charlotte. It helps to engage in honest and real conversations about how to grow, what has been done, and what worked. It is a must visit place for people who are new, traveling, local schools, etc. the first floor is a permanent exhibit and the second floor is current. I went when they displayed the know justice know peace pertaining to the National issues as well as how it impacted Charlotte. It was very moving to see the images, hear the sounds, and you could feel the intensity. They really captured what art is at this museum and that is what I expect to see but isn't quite captured in the other museums. It's great for all learners visual, kinesthetic, etc. I highly recommend and plan to return to see the updates to the new exhibit on the 2nd floor. I hope this helps in your journey.
