I've worked in the business and I know that "pristine" tanks don't necessarily mean "healthy" tanks but it's hard to shop in a place that "looks" dirty. Algae doesn't equate to sick fish but I can see how that turns some people off. I can see that this place is run with 1/4 of the staff of Pisces and they have 4x the tanks to look after. They're doing a pretty good job keeping up with things considering this fact.
Their dry-goods selection is very poor and reminds me of the stuff stocked in stores during the 90s. I'd recommend going elsewhere for dry goods.
This is the place to go if you're looking for hard to find freshwater species, this is their thing. But the shopping experience isn't as pleasant as some places and I could see that turning some people off. It's a shame I don't stop in here frequently because I'm sure I'd find more unique fish for my aquarium if I did.
