I bought a 2012 rav4 brand new, I had just moved into the country and needed four wheel drive so had to trade in my car. Unfortunately two months ago I hit ice and rolled my car on its side. The airbags didn't deploy until after the accident. Didn't know it but if the side airbags deploy the car more or less is a total loss. I was upset but felt ok since i pay my bill on time and had state farm and gap to cover any additional amount owed. My insurance paid what they owed and together we contacted gap and filled in the additional paper work needed. The gap agent said they would take care of everything and to not worry. I asked if i needed to call back and they said no they would handle it. So a month and a half goes by and i notice there is still a balance on my Toyota account. I called and found out that without notifying me Toyota had cancelled the gap insurance i had with them. I called and they promised to reinstate it. Its been three weeks and i still have a balance. I was debating getting another Toyota once this was all taken care of but there is no way i would now. Im not recommending them to anyone. The car malfunctioned in an accident and now they are drawling out the gap insurance so that i have to continue making car payments on a vehicle that i have not had for over two months. Worst service ever
