| - Looking for something to do late on a weeknight? Late night specials 10-12!! It was a Tuesday night and I saw this restaurant pop up and always wanted to try, so my husband and I went in at 10pm. There was only one other person sitting at the bar, but given time, the whole bar was filled.
Our bartender/server was very attentive. She gave food recommendations on their late night menu and so we tried a couple items. Out of our sampling, I'd recommend these 3:
Ham & Cheese Croquettes- 4.5/5 cheesy, crumbly/crusty melt in your mouth. There were 3 small ones per serving with a garlic aioli sauce.
Steak(Arrachera) Taco- 4.8/5 steak was cooked perfectly, there was crumbly blue cheese inside a corn tortilla with a few jalapenos for a kick.
Mahi Mahi Taco- 4.9/5 plantain crusted so very crispy and sweet which balanced out the fish, chipotle mayo, and cabbage. Wonderful flavor balance.
The drinks were good, but I enjoyed the food the most. The decorations inside are also fantastic, like being on a boat. There was a wood ceiling over the bar, seascape murals on the wall, a quartz-like bar top, and comfy velvet chairs. Portions are pretty small on the late night menu, so you'd have to order a few if you're starving but overall great experience and it's nice seeing new & different restaurants pop up downtown.
