I have to agree with many other reviewers here. A member of my family saw Dr. Melanie Schockett for a period of time and we have no complaints about the Dr. She was nice, related to my family member, and helped us through what we needed. The office staff on the other hand are rude, condescending, and generally unpleasant. At my first visit I attributed it to the possibility that maybe they had a high volume of court mandated patients or a government contract of some sort. We were privately insured. After her sessions were over about a month and a half later we received two letters in the mail. A statement of account (with not details regarding dates of visit, etc.) with a "30 day past due balance" and a letter saying "it's probably just an oversight that you didn't pay us". I called immediately to learn with the invoice was for and paid it by phone that same day. I paid via CC on 8/2 and the payment posted to my account. Fast forward to 9/5. I receive another statement in the mail, just like the first, with a 90 day past due balance for the same amount. It was dated 8/10. (I paid 8/2). I called immediately to figure out what the discrepancy was only to be put into a voicemail that states they will call back in 48 hours. Based on other reviews below I won't hold my breath for that return call and I won't be surprised to be dealing with this years from now. I will also report them to my insurance company.
