  • Visited FatBurger for the first time this past Sunday, and was thoroughly impressed. Loved the vibe in there, and the food was outstanding. Pro's: 1) The quality of the beef can definitely be tasted in each bite. Its great, cooked perfectly, and is overall delicious. I believe they use AAA Alberta Beef. They also have a lot of sizes to choose from, so could be tailored towards an appetite of any size. I got the 12 ounce - which was 2 x 6oz patties. Loved it! 2) The fries - I know some people have a problem with the frozen fries, but personally, I loved them. Thought they tasted good, had the right flavour and crispness to them. Very surprised. 3) Toppings - Large amount of free toppings, including Onion Rings! Wish the mushrooms were included, but an extra surcharge for that isn't too bad. 4) Great selection of items on the menu. Its not simply a burger joint, they have things like chicken wings, chicken strips, salads, and a variety of French fries, including chilli-cheese fries. Tried the chicken strips, and they were delicious. Seemed fresh, perfect amount of batter, and came with your choice of sauce. 5) The burger held together!!! Often when you take a burger to go, and put a variety of toppings on it, it falls apart on the way home. I was surprised to see how perfectly intact the burger was by the time I got home. I believe the bun has a lot to do with that, not overly soft, but perfect for the size of the burger. Cons: 1) The cost is definitely one of the only Con's I can think of. A meal here isn't cheap, but then again its not your standard fast food burger. The 12 ounce burger ran me $9.99, fries were $3.49, and 4 large chicken strips (same size as Jack Astors) was around $7 bucks. Overall Verdict: Go Here!!! Food is great, variety is excellent, lots of parking. I've had burgers all over the city, including Burger Priest, Holy Chuck, P&L etc, but surprisingly, this might be my go to spot now!
