  • I think this spa must have been great years ago, but it seems run down, dirty and and not up to par for the price. I brought my husband here for a Swedish massage, and got one myself (prenatal), a late Father's Day gift/day out before the baby comes. We also took advantage of the water therapies. The pool and hot tub could use cleaning. There is mould on the tiles 2 inches above the water. I wanted badly to take a toothbrush and bleach to it. Both my husband and were asked by our therapists what problem areas we had before they began the massage. I explained that my hips and lower back were aching and keep me awake at night (sciatica) and asked that he focus on that as well as my shoulders were sore. He did a good job on my shoulders, pretty much ignored my lower back and focused on my legs just above my knee and calves. I asked him to please work on hips/outer thigh, to which he did briefly on one leg, but not the other which was unfortunately the worst side. He gave me good advice on how to help the problem when I get home, but that's not what I came for. If I wanted advice, I would have gone to my doctor. I was so sad, still struggling to walk after paying over $100 for a massage. I don't get it. Are spas too fancy to give you a proper massage? I've had a prenatal massage before that mainly focused on helping my sciatica and I felt great for days afterward. Overall, this massage was a complete waste of money. My husband had a similar experience. He's a runner and had sore legs so asked the therapist to focus on that. He felt like his legs got the least amount of attention. We had come to the conclusion that the RMT's just do what they want, even if they ask you and you respond. I was really disappointed, so I mentioned it when checking out. Maybe I had misunderstood what we were getting? I was told maybe they were just having an off day, BOTH of them. Great. We left with a 15% discount (the manager was too busy to talk with us or the employee checking us out about our visit). I wish I would have listened to all the bad reviews I read, however, they were the only place that could get us in short notice (we travel a lot)....maybe that was the first red flag.
