| - I have given them plenty of opportunities to impress me, and it's just not happening. I have been to two different stylists here, one recommended by Luxe for my hair type, and the other stylist was recommended by a friend. Every single appointment, my stylist has been late. One appointment was at the very beginning of the morning. How does that happen? Of course the receptionist never told me they were running late. During my first visit, I sat there for 40 minutes before I was finally called upon; not cool and not a good first impression! So, after reading about Jessica G.'s appointment below (which is apparently gone now) for being a little late and asked to re-schedule, I'm a little put-off because I have wasted so much time sitting there for late stylists.
After all of my appointments here, I have left disappointed. I have a secret...I keep bobby pins and a hair tie in my car, so when I leave after a bad style, I can put it in a pony tail in order to be seen in public. I have used them after each visit here. I saw a woman leave here the other day in a pony tail after her cut. What a great idea! I should just cut to the chase and not sit there torturing myself while they style my hair. I'm always hopeful that I'm going to look like a million bucks when I leave. I don't know what it is about curly hair that make stylists feel the need to make it look as terrible as possible. Stylists...would you wear that hair cut in public? I have girlfriends that love to visit the salon to get their haircut and feel beautiful when they leave. For me, it's a chore and nothing I look forward to because I would never, and I mean never, style my hair the way I have left here. As matter of fact, I didn't even know my hair could look that awful!
Each stylist couldn't have been more different. One was chop happy and informed me she didn't realize my hair would curl up that much after cutting it. It was at least 3 inches shorter than I had asked for it to be. The other was so conservative, you cannot tell that I even got a haircut and didn't even address my trouble areas that I was complaining about. What a waste of $$$!
