Well when you have an expensive laptop like the Macbook Pro and no longer have the Apple Care Warranty, what in the world is one supposed to do? Fortunately, for the highly recommended fellow Yelper reviews, it led me to the Professionals of Glick's. My computer just would not turn on with trying to boot. I have an older Macbook, but YES this thing is still A BEAST with a 17 inch screen and I had no issues prior to. So this lady does like it LARGE. However, not so large that I was going to give up and purchase a new Apple computer.
Dave the owner of Glick responded quickly to my distress call and aided in troubleshooting over the phone, he was able to send out an Excellent computer specialist, John and was I relieved to find out the confirmation that he was able to revive my computer without it going kaput permanently. I have a lot of files and like anyone else, personal info. I also rely on this computer for leisure and work/professional.
The diagnostic fee was about $100 and well worth taking the risk I felt. Apparently, my issue was my SSD I had installed went bad and was the culprit of the issues. Fortunately, absent for a virus. For the diagnosis fee, replacement SSD and repair labor - my total cost was $407, by the way...they didn't charge me tax!! An absolute fantastic rate and John also provided valuable information that I can send back my SSD to the manufacturer for a replacement and sell it for almost full price. GENIUS! Easy and convenient with their Mobile service company.
I am thrilled for this small business and their promptness, professionalism and I enjoyed John so much, I'll have to invite him over for more vanilla bean coffee.
