| - Ok you win!! five stars. As far as buildings go, this one is the king of the Calgary skyline. As such, it should be the biggest, the most interesting, and iconic, should have a grand and appealing look... The Bow has all that!! It makes Calgary look good in the eyes of those from other cities, and Calgarians are proud of that. It's symbolism references and echos the bow river, and it wouldn't be to far-fetched to imagine a Chinook arch from that geometry. As far as flagship skyscrapers go, this one fills the bill nicely in cow town.
I suppose there might be aspects to critique: what on Earth is that head sculpture doing out front there? It looks ok, but is it anatomically correct? what is the meaning behind that anyway, and way is it called "Wonderland"? BIZARRE! Lastly, the building is quite empty, and therefore lacks practical functionality... nevertheless, that results more from the recession than from the building itself.
