| - Hey curly haired girls (and men and women of all hair situations),
So It was a double fabulous whammy that I found E's Urban-- cause they have a highly regarded curly hair cutter, Bryan, AND a 20% discount. Yes, OH HAPPY DAY! I went in on a consultation appointment, hoping that I would want to stay, as I really didn't feel like traipsing all over the valley wide to meet and greet other potentials on my list.
Yes I was immediately impressed with the reception man, the tall Bryan, and the maze-like funky artist air and architectural cool that is E's. About ten minutes into the consultation I made the decision to let Bryan trim me.
Two things: the dryness here in AZ isn't conducive to curly hair, so I'd found myself new and urgently seeking someone to give me a trim. I wouldn't be able to get to my regular guy back home until July, and I'm very anti "people in my head" anyway. I do almost everything myself, but maybe once a year I go to a professional for cutting/trimming. I didn't want to spend a ton, and I needed someone to respect my hair ways (dry-cutting please, no chemicals, no sulfates...)
Ok that's about seven things... but Bryan respected them all and seemed to know a good bit about curly hair. He listened and clearly heard me because I love my trim and it's exactly what I asked for. I left with it more straight than curly, so not my usual look, but once I got home I wet it and applied my homemade curl-enhancing products and all was better in the world! Yes, it's a great trim, the time was fun, and that 20% off is a great special to get people in. If your experience is like mind you will gladly pay regular price on your next visit. Did I mention the great music and enjoying the beverage of my choice! ;)
**I'm going with 4 stars, 4 1/2 if I could, only because I'd love to see specific curly product lines and curly-care methods (no sulfates or harmful silicones, use of diffusers) at E's Urban, especially since Bryan's known for cutting curly hair. That's it, check them out!
